Brief historical background :

Zaidan House was established in the early 1950's as a manufacturer of steel formwork and scaffolding. At the time steel formwork was still unfamiliar and Zaidan House was one of the first to introduce steel for formwork on the international market. The metro of Montreal, the sewage system of Baghdad, dams in Iran and Jordan, housing in Lybia were amongst our earliest achievements. Today, with all the experience of the past 43 years ZHS has vastly increased the range, the quality, and the performance of its products Production quality management is now under ISO 9000:2000, and systems and standards are monitored by Bureau Veritas Quality International.


Speed of Erection and Cycle Times

Despite very competitive prices ZHS systems are amongst the fastest in erection times, and the safest to use. One of our clients completed a project of 11 Hi-Rise buildings of 55 floors in a total period of less than 14 months with no accidents, injuries, or lost time. Another client with 3-Hi-Rise buildings to construct used ZHS systems (Type A) on one building and two other systems, type B and type C on the others.


The reported cycle times were as follows::

Supplier A ZHS systems - 4 days per floor - 7.5 months to complete the 55 floors.
Supplier B - 7 days per floor - 13 months to complete - Supplier C - 8 days per floor - 15 months to complete. So, as reported by the client, ZHS systems resulted in a saving of 50% in overheads and in cost of equipment.
